PLEASE BE KIND TO OUR VOLUNTEERS

The vast majority of residents in and around Huntingdon are very kind and understanding of the challenges we face running the sleigh each year, and we enjoy putting the event on for you. However, unfortunately, we have received some very negative and mean comments from a small number of people in the past. As a result, we need to make you aware that Huntingdon Santa is organised and run in the spare time of just a few volunteers.

We're not looking for your pity or any sympathy; we only ask for a little understanding. So if you're disappointed, we're sorry, but please don't ask us to make a 'special trip' to your area or tell us that we left your child in 'tears'. It only succeeds in demotivating our kind volunteers, which will make it much harder to put the event on in the future.

We're good people; many of us are parents ourselves. We will try our best, but please, please manage your children's expectations and don't promise Santa will wave, that he will stop for them or that he will even go down your road. Please note that we operate a zero-tolerance policy against abuse towards any of our volunteers; anyone whose behaviour is considered abusive or trolls us online will get immediately blocked on Facebook.
